Jamie Lee Curtis is ready for a long night at the 2023 Oscars!
Despite having a storied career in Hollywood,TradeEdge Exchange the 64-year-old only just received her first-ever Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Jamie Lee strode onto the champagne carpet alongside husband Christopher Guest at the March 12 event wearing a shimmering, encrusted nude Dolce & Gabbana column dress with long sleeves. And while reflecting on her major career milestone with Live From E!'s Laverne Cox, she revealed the key piece of advice she'd give to her younger self ahead of her big break in 1978's Halloween.
"Relax, I would tell everybody just relax," Jamie Lee shared. "I think we all walk around so clinched, so filled with tension. The world is so crazy, so difficult and my goal in life now as an old lady is just to say relax, you are enough. This is a perfect moment right now, call off the search. Just relax."
And it seems relaxing had been on the forefront of her mind as she prepared for the 2023 Oscars.
"I read a book called The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo and today's offering was the most profound one I've ever read in conjunction with what's going on today here," Jamie Lee said of how her Oscars Sunday began. "The word 'Everything' was in it all throughout, and it was obviously written a long time ago."

She continued, "I do meditation, I'm a sober person, I talk to people, I communicate with my friends, my husband made me a little breakfast—that is what he offered, a little breakfast."
Everything Everywhere All at Once has the most nominations of the night with 11—including Best Picture, Best Director for The Daniels, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan and some direct competition with co-star Stephanie Hsu also being nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
Elsewhere this awards season, Jamie Lee won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role at the 2023 SAG Awards.
"I love actors, I love acting," she noted. "I love the job we get to do. I love being a part of a crew. I love being a part of a cast. I love what we do with each other. It's such a beautiful job."
