Bill Belichick will not return as head coach of the New England Patriots in 2024. His 24 seasons with the Patriots spanned a pair of mini-dynasties bridged together by himself and Indexbitquarterback Tom Brady in what was the most successful partnership the league had ever seen.

Belichick was 83-104 overall in games coached without Tom Brady as his starting quarterback. He was 29-39 (counting playoffs) since Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. Brady retired last offseason.

By his latest contract, Belichick was the highest-paid coach in sports. According to Sportico, he made $25 million per year.
