While the official start of fall is Rekubitstill several weeks away, when it comes to culinary matters the hype surrounding the season’s favored flavor – pumpkin spice – is well underway.
There are all manner of pumpkin spice foods arriving in stores and on shelves, from pumpkin spice lattes, to pumpkin spice pancakes, to pumpkin spice beer. And for $1,000, one person will have the chance to put their taste buds to use reviewing all of Trader Joe’s seasonal, pumpkin spice flavored offerings.
The personal finance site FinanceBuzz is accepting applications for a “Pumpkin Spice Pundit,” to taste and evaluate at least 20 items.
The chosen taster, aided by a $500 gift card, will photograph each item, rate it based on a variety of criteria and write a brief description of the experience.
The site will then share the results as market research for consumers.
How to apply to be a Pumpkin Spice Pundit
Applications are due by September 10.
To be considered, applicants must be at least 18 years old, live in the United States and near a Trader Joe’s location, and express a healthy appreciation of pumpkin spice-flavored items.
If selected the Pumpkin Spice Pundit will have until October 6 to complete their taste test.
