Which actor was once verbally abusive to "Dune: Part Two" star Rebecca Ferguson? Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson would like to know.
Ferguson, 40, revealed on the "Reign with Josh Smith" podcast that she once worked on a movie with an "absolute idiot of a co-star" who made her cry by screaming at her on set.
The co-star was "being so insecure and angry" because they "couldn't get the scenes out," Ferguson said, adding, "I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at, and I would cry walking off set."
Ferguson alleged the unnamed co-star berated her in front of the entire crew by saying, "You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to work with? What is this?" But because this actor was No. 1 on the call sheet, Ferguson said she had "no safety net," and no one had her back on set.
Regardless, Ferguson recalled standing up to her co-star the next day by telling them to "get off my set," declaring, "I'm going to work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again." Although producers told her the actor had to remain on set, Ferguson said she performed to the back of their head from then on.

Ferguson never named the movie or co-star in question, and her comments quickly set off a guessing game as fans looked back through her filmography and tried to deduce who the culprit could have been. The actress is known for playing Ilsa Faust in the "Mission: Impossible" franchise and has also starred in movies like "The Greatest Showman" and "Doctor Sleep."
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who worked with Ferguson on 2014's "Hercules," soon chimed in. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Johnson said he "hate(s) seeing this" but loves that Ferguson stood up for herself.
"Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set," he wrote. "I love that woman. I'd like to find out who did this."

On the podcast, Ferguson described being "so scared" about confronting her co-star and noted that this feeling was coming back to her as she told the story. According to her, though, the incident was a turning point in her career, leading her to continue standing up for herself in the future. "From that moment, I have never let myself get to a point when I've got home and gone, 'Why did that happen?,'" she said.
Ferguson returns as Lady Jessica in "Dune: Part Two," which hits theaters Friday, coming off performances last year in "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" and the Apple TV+ series "Silo."
