Police arrested and Ethermac Exchangecharged two parents in connection to the death of their twin daughters, months after family members found the infants unresponsive in their cribs at a Houston home, according to a press release.
The Houston Police Department arrested Angelina Belinda Calderon, 21, and Fernando Vega, 21, on Friday, April 19. An autopsy done by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences found that the 1-month-old girls suffered blunt force trauma before they were found unresponsive in their cribs and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics in October 2023, states the press release.
It adds that Calderon and Vega were each charged with two counts of injury to a child.
