"Saturday Night Live" alums and besties Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunited for a special "Weekend Update" bit at the Primetime Emmy Awards Sunday and they did not disappoint.
"We've reached the stage in life where we'll only present awards sitting down," Fey said after a raucous ovation at the top of their appearance at the 75th Emmys. The twosome was out to present the Emmy for outstanding live variety show.
Fey and Poehler got in some good jabs – even at themselves – when running down the nominees.
First one up was the Oscars, which Poehler cracked are "the only show that's longer than when they air 'Titanic' with commercials on TBS."

The comedy special "Chris Rock: Selective Outrage" was next, and Fey announced that "Chris could be here tonight but if he wins, we'll accept on his behalf because we miss getting Emmys."
Mentioning "Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium," Poehler said, "Now I can't speak for Elton but EGOT to be excited about that." (John did in fact become an EGOT winner when he won this category.)
Fey got to call out Rihanna's appearance at The Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show – aka "the concert so good it got us all pregnant."
And the last nominee was the 75th annual Emmy Awards, "celebrating the best in musicals that were based on movies that will probably be movies again," Poehler said, riffing on the recent release of the new "Mean Girls." Fey, a writer, producer and star of the film, chimed in: "There's nothing wrong with that."
